Our first week at home went by so quickly. All three of us quickly made nap time a favorite activity. Tyler and I couldn't get enough of cuddling with our little Elijah. Tyler was so wonderful taking care of both a helpless wife and a cute newborn (who could resist him though). He had a week off to spend with us and we enjoyed every minute. Elijah even could throw a positive spin on those middle of the night feeding/calming times.
Elijah's bilirubin level was high so he was at risk for Jaundice. Our first three mornings home we had to go to the lab to get his blood tested. Luckily his levels decreased and he was cleared! These trips did show us how much Elijah loved sleeping in his car seat though.

We introduced him to his room for the first time. I'm not sure he was too interested.

Cuddle time is the best.

We also gave him his first bath at home. He did great and seemed to like it.

We could stare at this baby for hours. He however loved staring outside the window.

Our first week at home concluded with our 5 year Wedding Anniversary. We knew it was coming, however with a one week old in the house, it took the back burner. We were actually at the pediatricians office when we remembered. Hopefully we'll have another more 'celebration' post at a later time. 5 years is a big deal!
Luckily I have an amazing husband who brought me flowers. They totally made me cry.
