Timbersport Series

A few weeks back, Dakota and I went to the Timbersport Series at Thanksgiving Point. It was pretty fun. Definitely a guy thing though. Dakota got a lot of free stuff and got to see what 'real' men do in their spare time. We had a lot of fun.

This competition was pretty cool. One of Dakota's favorite. They had to chop small slots into the wood, and place a plank in it. They would then stand on that plank, chop another slot, and put another plank in it. Standing on this high plank, they have to chop the top of this pole off.

I liked this competition. They had to climb up this huge pole with just a rope. Pretty awesome.

Dakota testing his strength.

Me and Dakota sawing off the end of this pole. It was pretty hard, but Dakota did awesome, and luckily the guy there started it off for me.

Off to Maui

Were leaving to Maui tomorrow!!! Yay. I am so excited. A trip to a beautiful location with NO, absolutely NO work involved. A week long relaxing and fun vacation on the gorgeous beaches of Hawaii is what we have been waiting and saving for! My mom and Dakota are going with us too!

We'll keep you updated and post A LOT of pictures when we come back!

Friends going and coming

Ashley and Matt were married last week. It was so beautiful! I'm still waiting on new pictures of me and the bride...hint hint. God Bless you both!

They walked under the Arch of Sabers, a military tradition.

Later that week, Tyler and his friends got together for a welcome back BBQ for his friend Ryan. They had a ton of fun. I enjoyed getting to know this long lost friend.

Goodbye my little love

Bama and her family moved to Cedar City last week. It was so sad. I had to leave Friday night so I wouldn't cry...or at least in front of them. I have this image in my mind as I left of little Dawsen standing on the stairs waving and saying "bye". I'm gonna miss that precious little girl so much!

Oh and the rest of the family? Of course I'll miss them too. Anjul has found a special spot in my heart. He's such a fun little guy. He loves attention, cuddles, and thanks to me...The Little Mermaid.

Their last night here, we had a girls night out. We went to a shoe party and then the Olive Garden. I'm going to miss my sister too. In the last year we have grown much closer...and if you know us, it is surprising-hehe. Below is Bama and my Mom.

Of course Dawsen had to join us.

Happy Birthday Sandy

Last week we celebrated Tyler's moms (Sandy) birthday. We went out to eat delicious Thai food-yes with sticky rice and mango. So yummy. Mark, Corrinne and Grandma were all there too. We love her so much and hope she had a great birthday!

Memorial Day

It seems to be human nature to not appreciate the beautiful things around us. God's creations should be recognized and appreciated. I'm sad to say as a Utahn, I haven't even hiked up to Bridal Veil Falls. So this memorial day, we did. After visiting Tina's grave, Tyler and I met Dakota at Bridal Veil.

It was a fun short hike. The waterfall was beautiful. We convinced Dakota to go under the water. At first he didn't want to, however when he saw a 7 year old girl do it, he had to show us he was brave enough, hehe.

As Dakota dried off, my mom came to pick him up. I was able to get a cute picture of us.
