Every Christmas needs Red Velvet Cupcakes and Grandma Olsen's Sugar Cookies (Tyler's Favorite).
Christmas Eve was full of God, Family, and Wild Turkeys.
We saw these turkeys on a detour after visiting Wallsburg to drop off a wreath at my sisters grave. They were so cute!
That evening before our Annual Christmas Eve Service, we went to our Annual Christmas Eve dinner at my Aunt George's house. I love this tradition. We've done this ever since I can remember. It felt so good to be back.
After the Christmas Eve Service, we went back to our place to watch 'The Nativity'. I love this tradition as well. Tyler's family as well as my mom and Dakota came to join us this year. It's a great way to spend time together, have coffee or hot chocolate and celebrate Jesus' birth.
Christmas Morning: Boys and their toys. Tyler spent all day playing with his helicopter. I thoroughly enjoyed my new Ipod Shuffle. I love Christmas morning with my hunny.
Next up-Grandmas house for Christmas Breakfast. Great morning spent with all my family!
After Grandmas, we headed to my mom's to open presents.
We surprised my mom with a 'new' used dishwasher. She was so excited. Too bad this was a FAIL. Of course, it didn't work. Luckily we got our money back and she's using it to save for a better one. It's the thought that counts-right??
That afternoon we visited with Tyler's family. Had a great Christmas Lunner , and spent some fun time with the family.
It was a great Christmas Holiday. In the midst of all the busyness, family, gifts, and food-I want to say that I really am so grateful for Jesus being born. To love us that much to leave his throne in Heaven and come here in such a humble setting-it's amazing.
