Christmas 2012

Christmas this year was a lot more fun since Elijah was a little older. We still didn't want to go all out but I did have a hard time not buying him too much. I just love that little guy so much.

Starting with Christmas Eve, after returning from the Christmas Eve service we read the Christmas Story...or what he would sit through at least.

Then we let Elijah put Jesus in the manager scenes.

Of course the traditional Christmas PJ's had to be opened.

After that Sandy, Mark, and Corinne came over to watch a the movie Polar Express. Elijah had a little play time on his 'slide' before bed. Early this month Elijah decided this car seat box made a great slide. Of course Tyler did his part and gave him the idea of the stool for the steps.

 Goodnight kisses

Later that night the work began for us. Lucky for us that Elijah loved that car seat box so much since we already decided he needed a slide for Christmas!

Christmas morning was so much fun. Of course Elijah didn't know what to do with the slide. He actually avoided it thinking it was 'a no' meaning he wasn't supposed to touch it. He even wanted to play with his metal trashcan. After some convincing we got him on it and he loved it. He also really loved his stocking.

The bummer part of the morning is Elijah got sick...all over Tyler right before his first nap. Once he woke up he was acting okay so we though maybe it was something he ate, so we braved breakfast and my mom's anyway. We were wrong. He wasn't feeling well at all so we finally headed home, luckily he waited to get sick again until we were home. Poor kid. I wish he was feeling better, but it was still a really nice day at home. Late on Sandy and Mark came over to exchange gifts. Pretty good relaxed day if you ask me, now if only our little sport could have enjoyed it more.

Then to Grandma's for gifts.

He loved this car!

He also loves the stairs!

  1. Poor Bubby :( So sad when they're sick on a holiday... but especially Christmas! Em has suffered that a few years too. So glad he warmed up to his slide, but love his box one too!
